Qatar withdraws from OPEC

Qatar, as of January 2019, will be withdrawn from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Qatar Energy Minister Saad Al Kaabi has announced that they will withdraw from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) since January 2019.

Oil prices increased by 5 percent after the announcement. A barrel of Brent oil is traded at $ 62.30.
