167 protesters taken into custody in France

167 people were detained Saturday during the demonstration in Paris, France.

167 people were detained in the Saturday events took place Paris, reports said.

Hundreds of people protesting the government of France came back to the streets on Saturday. Paris Police Department announced that 167 people were taken into custody.  because of the ridicule.  

Stating that 167 people were taken into custody, Paris police department said detainee process for 111 people continue while 19 protesters were sent to prosecutor's office and 37 others were released.

Yellow vest activists took to the streets to protest the hike in many cities, especially in Paris, capital of France.

The actions that started on November 17, 2018, in response to the fuel price increases and the deterioration of economic conditions in France became the most violent protest in the country in recent years.

In the protests, 10 people were killed, hundreds were wounded and more than 5,000 people were detained.

Protests cost the state 32m euros, while 58,000 people became unemployed.
