20 IEDs captured in the area of Operation Claw-3, Turkey’s Defense Ministry says

20 improvised explosive devices have been seized in the area of Operation Claw-3 in northern Iraq, Turkey’s Defense Ministry said in a statement on Twitter on Thursday.

“Our commandos, who are continuing their search activities in the area of Operation Claw-3, have seized 20 remote-controlled IEDs used by the separatist terrorist organization PKK and a large number of materials used in the construction of IEDs,” the statement said.

Operation Claws are ongoing cross-border military operations by the Turkish Armed Forces into northern Iraq against the PKK.

The first operation was launched with artillery shells and air attacks in the morning of 28 May 2019.
