371,000 Syrians returned safely, Çavuşoğlu says

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that 371 thousand Syrians have so far returned safely to the region in the northeast of Syria.

Speaking at the panel entitled "Syrian Refugee Crisis", Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that the most durable solution to Syrian refugee crisis is the safe, voluntary and dignified returns of Syrians.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that there should be more equitable burden and responsibility sharing on this issue and that Turkey would continue cooperating with the international community.

Pointing out that Turkey is the country with the most refugees in the World, Çavuşoğlu said that more than half a million Syrian children were born in Turkey and added: "We believe that the safe and voluntary return of the Syrians is the most permanent solution to the Syrian refugee crisis."
