4 women detained in Turkey for shooting a video regarding the abolition of Caliphate

Four women who shot a video on the 100th anniversary of the abolition of the Caliphate were detained in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

The women that shot a video in the Amuriye region of Afyonkarahisar province demanded the resurrection of the Caliphate which was abolished by the Ankara government in 1924.

Under the “One Hundred Years Without Caliphate is Enough” campaign, which was launched on the 100th anniversary of the abolition of the Caliphate, many videos were shot and shared on the social media platform.

Since the beginning of February, Turkish police have arrested seven people for involving in this campaign.
