“As of 9am 19 May, there have been 2,772,552 tests, with 89,784 tests on 18 May. 248,818 people have tested positive. As of 5pm on 18 May, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 35,341 have sadly died,” the Department tweeted on Tuesday.
“We're advising you to consider using a face covering in enclosed public spaces like shops or on public transport,” it added.
Global death toll from coronavirus has reached 322,801, with at least 4,948,682 confirmed cases and 1,937,020 recoveries, according to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics.
