Seven police officers were killed in an operation in Mexico to suppress the uprising in La Toma Prison in Veracruz, south of the country.
In a written statement from the government, it was reported that a group of prisoners who raided the riot as they entered the prison set pillows on the fire and attacked the police with appliances in the carpenter.
At least 10 prisoners were wounded, seven police officers reportedly were killed.
It was learned that the uprising in La Toma Prison, where there are about 300 prisoners, was suppressed by the intervention of the security forces. (ILKHA)
