Eight civilians were killed and 30 others were injured when a car bomb exploded in a busy market in the northwest Syrian city of Afrin, the blast also wounded at least 30.

The blast was caused by a bomb-laden car, which exploded in the city’s vegetable market, reports said.The Turkish forces helped by its allies Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters seized Afrin, a mainly Kurdish city, from the YPG/PKK militia in March 2018.
