In Turkey, at least 81 people were arrested on Tuesday for suspected links to the FETÖ, the group behind a 2016 coup attempt in the country.
According to a statement from the prosecutor’s Office, Prosecutors in the capital Ankara issued arrest warrants for 129 suspects on charges of using the group’s encrypted smartphone app, ByLock.
67 suspects were arrested by police as operations continue in order to arrest other 27 suspects.
On the other hand, prosecutors in Ankara also issued arrest warrants for 18 former military personnel who were discharged after the deadly coup attempt in 2016.
