Many health and gendarme teams were dispatched to the region after the citizens reported that they found bodies on the border of Van-Iran.
As a result of the investigation, the teams found that the bodies, which emerged as snow began to melt, belonged to irregular migrants who froze and died as they passed the border during the winter months.
The bodies reportedly were lost integrity due to attacks of wild animals.
After the examinations at the scene, the bodies were sent to Van Forensic Medicine Institute.
On May 3, 6 other men's bodies were found by shepherds on the Iranian border of the Başkale, district of Van province, indicated that they belonged to irregular migrants frozen to death during passing the border.
