A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hits northeastern Iran

Moderate magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck 35 km southwest of Bojnourd city of Iran’s North Khorasan Province, Iranian Seismological Center said.

The tremor was recorded on Thursday at 11:39 am (GMT +3:30), at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages to buildings.
