A 4.3 magnitude earthquake jolts southwestern Turkey

A 4.3 magnitude earthquake has jolted the Ula district of Turkey’s southwestern Muğla province at 13:09 on Thursday, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said in a statement on its website.

The earthquake occurred 4,3 kilometers (2,67 miles) below the surface.

The earthquake, which caused panic in the region, was felt in several Turkish provinces.

There were no immediate reports of major damage or casualties.
