A 4.4-magnitude earthquake jolts southern Iran

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake has occurred in the town of Ashkanan in Fars province in southern Iran on Sunday.

The earthquake took placed at around 07:43 a.m., with its epicenter at a latitude of 27,117 degrees north and a longitude of 53,567 degrees east, and at a depth of 16 km, according to Iranian Seismological Center.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages to buildings.
