A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hits western Iran

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake hit the Shoghan County of Iran's North Khorasan late Saturday, the Iranian Seismological Center said.

The tremor was recorded at 21:17 local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages to buildings.
