A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hits western Iran

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit Firoozabad region in Iran's Lorestan province at 12:27 on Wednesday.

According to Iranian Seismological Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was at the depth of 7 km, 33.753 degrees north latitude and 48.080 degrees east longitude.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, initial reports said.
