A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hits off Alaska

​A 5.6 magnitude earthquake hit off Alaska in the United States, the US Geological Survey announced on Wednesday.

The epicenter of earthquake was located at 25 miles, or 40 kilometers, southeast of Sand Point, Alaska.

No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, which was felt hundreds of miles away.
