A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hits Greek holiday island

A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has hit the island of Crete at 15:51 on Saturday, announced Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute.

Its epicenter was 118 kilometers south of Ierapetra, a town on the south coast of Crete, at the depth of 10 km.

The earthquake was felt in Heraklion and Lassithi, local reports said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damages.
