A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia's Sumatra province

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 hit off the coast of Indonesia's West Sumatra province on Tuesday

No tsunami warning had been issued for the earthquake, which occurred more than 100 kilometers from land and at a depth of 10 km, Indonesia's meteorological, climatology and geophysical agency (BMKG) said in a tweet.

There were no reports of casualties or damage.
