A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit northeast off the coast of East Nusa Tenggara province early Friday, the country's Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency said.

The epicenter of earthquake was located at 171 kilometers (106.2 mi) northeast of East Nusa Tenggara province, at a depth of 627 kilometers (389.6 mi).

No tsunami warning has been issued after the earthquake.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the earthquake.
