Almost 600,000 children face starvation in Afghanistan

UNICEF announced that nearly 600,000 children are facing starvation in Afghanistan.

UNICEF has announced that nearly 600,000 children under five years are facing starvation due to long years of war, drought disasters and floods in Afghanistan.

About 6 million 300 thousand euros are required in the next three weeks in order to supply adequate food for 60 percent of children with an emergency situation.

In Yemen and South Sudan, where there are civil wars, children live at risk of death due to malnutrition and hunger.

As the immune system of malnourished children collapses, they can easily get rid of the disease.
