In a statement made on his Twitter account, Altun said: “A couple of retired admirals came together and drafted a `declaration`, and fifth column groups became enthused. Mind your own business.”
Altun went on to say: “That Turkey is a thing of the past! This nation demonstrated to the entire world how it defeated the coup enthusiasts. Stay within your limits. Who are you? How could you shake your finger at the legal representatives of the national will? Turkey is a state of law. Never lose sight of this. Supporters of tutelage will never again endanger our democracy. Failure pawns of foreign actors will not be able to stand in the way of a growing and stronger Turkey."
"Our august nation has the final say in these lands"
Sharing the photo of the Directorate of Communications' building with its lights on in his thread, the Director of Communications noted the following: “The message given by 103 presumptuous persons 103 days before July 15 is now under our feet. Our august nation has the final say in these lands. In the face of any anti-democratic attempt and intention, these lights will always remain on and never be turned off for our august nation. We are on our duty and at the service of our nation.”
In his post, Director of Communications Altun said: “The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Ankara has launched an ex-officio investigation to identify the individuals who drafted the scandalous declaration as well as those who may have been involved and to determine and enforce the requirements of law. Not only the signatories but also those who encouraged them will be accountable before the law.”
