At least 24 people killed in the attack carried out by armed people said, Iranian officials.
On the anniversary of the war, which erupted in 1980 between Iran and Iraq and lasted for 8 years, gunmen attacked the crowd. The fighters opened fire on a large crowd of spectators watching the parade in the southwestern city and then attempted to attack the viewing stand for official dignities before being shot and wounded by security forces, Fars news agency said. The attack lasted about 10 minutes the agency added.
The official state news agency announced that 24 people have lost their lives including women and children while 53 people had also been wounded and that many were in critical condition.
