Child rescued alive from Istanbul building collapse

A 5-year-old girl named Havva was rescued alive from the collapsed building in Kartal, Istanbul.

A 5-year-old girl named Havva was rescued alive under the rubble of a 7-story building that collapsed Wednesday in Kartal district of Istanbul.

As a result of the rescue works, bodies of 3 people were removed lifelessly while 12 other people were rescued from the rubble as injured.

Ali Yerlikaya, Governor of Istanbul, announced before that the teams were in contact with a 5-year-old girl named Havva under rubble.

As a result of the work of AFAD and UMKE teams, after 19 hours, the 5-year-old girl named Adra Havva Tekgöz was rescued alive.

Little Havva, was sent to Kartal Training Research Hospital with an ambulance, while her health condition reportedly was not in danger.
