The International Conscience Convoy has started its journey from Istanbul Yenikapı Rally Site to raise awareness of the suffering and tortured women and young girls imprisoned by the Syrian regime, demands their freedom.
Thousands of women from 55 different countries, from different religions, languages, races, and cultures attending to the convoy under the leadership women in Turkiye. Participants include NGO representatives, academicians, lawyers, media members, journalists, writers, doctors, artists, sportsmen, politicians, housewives and working women.
From abroad, Pakistan deputy Munaza Hasan, Ukrainian doctor and deputy Olga Bogomolets, Scottish Writer-Journalist and Women's Rights Activist Yvonne Ridley, UK Newcastle City Councilor Ann Schofield, Asia Waheed Alrabayah from al-Emir family in Qatar, Prof. Dato Sri and Dr. Zaleha Kamaruddin from the Malay University of Law School. Mandela's daughter in law Rayne Rose Mandela-Perry, UK Award-winning Comedian Writer and Actor Sajeela Kershi and mothers from Srebrenica from Bosnia have attended to the convoy.
The lawyer Gülden Sönmez who spoke on behalf of Conscience Convoy in the press statement in Turkish and English languages in Yenikapi said, "We are a world woman here! We hear you, my Syrian sisters. We share your pain and we hear you, despite the efforts of those who are trying to drown you out, and my dear sisters, we’re coming for you."

"As people of the time, we have witnessed the period that the most children have been slaughtered lively in this era," said Sönmez.
Saying that the luckiest of women were the refugees, who fled from Syria, Sönmez added; "We couldn’t give a meter square to them on this large earth. The borders were closed. The babies drowned in the seas. More than 400,000 people were held in prison in the interrogation centers. 13,104 people lost their lives in these prisons during this period. 76 thousand people are recorded as missing. 13,581 women were kept in prisons including 116 children. 6,736 women are still in these prisons. They are agonizing and being raped. The Syrian regime uses rapes as a weapon for women."
