The country’s health ministry has distributed 6,410 ventilators to all states and the Federal District to strengthen hospital care in the fight against the pandemic.

“Brazilian Public Health already has the reinforcement of 6,410 ventilators delivered by the Government of Brazil, through the Ministry of Health, to assist in the care of patients with Covid-19. The equipment was delivered to all states and the Federal District. Only between June 22 and 29 were delivered 1,553 equipment,” the ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

“The purchase and distribution of pulmonary ventilators is part of the strategic support of the Brazilian government in assisting states,” it added.
