Coronavirus worldwide: The number of confirmed cases approaches 3,500,000

At least 244,687 people have so far died from the coronavirus pandemic around the world.

The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.

The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of confirmed cases of coronavirus with 1,160,774 cases, followed by Spain with 245,567 cases, Italy with 209,328 cases, the United Kingdom with 182,260 cases, France with 168,396 cases, Germany with 164,76 cases, Turkey with 124,374 cases, Russia with 124,054 cases, Brazil with 97,100 cases, Iran with 96,448 cases and China with 82,877 cases.

A total of 1,116,269 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide.
