Death toll increases 359 in Sri Lanka, 100 people in custody

The Sri Lankan Defense Minister said that the number of people killed in the bombings increased to 359 and that more than 100 people were detained in connection with the attacks.

Ruwan Wijewardena, State Minister of Defense of Sri Lanka, announced Wednesday that death toll in the bombing attacks on churches and hotels has increased to 359 while more than 100 people were detained accused to be related to the attacks.

According to the latest information, the bomb attacks that killed 359 people and injured more than 500 people had claimed by DAESH.

It was stated that the explanation about claiming the attacks was made through the social media account of the organization but no evidence was provided.
