Economic attacks planned in a foreign country: Minister Albayrak

"Economic attacks were planned in a foreign country. Those who planned the August 10 attack have hit the wall," said Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak.

Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak made statements during the budget talks in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Noting that economic attacks against Turkiye were planned in a foreign country, Albayrak said the planners have hit the wall. "There is no problem that Turkiye cannot overcome. Turkiye's economy began the normalization process since October," he said.

Referring to the military coup on September 12, 1980, Minister Albayrak said, "We encountered attacks not even seen on September 12. Despite currency, interest, inflation attacks, Turkiye has left this process behind.
