At least 7 people lost their lives due to the hurricane Florence in the US hits the east coast while left a million homes and workplaces without electricity.
The National Hurricane Center warned that Florence could lead to floods at "disaster level" in the states of North and South Carolina. The center also warned for tornados in the southeast of North Carolina and in northeastern South Carolina.
Continuing to advance into North Carolina, Florence was reduced from Category 1 hurricane to tropical storm. Extreme precipitation and wind caused by the storm at least killed seven people.
The storm is expected to lose its power in the coming days and turn into rain. The National Hurricane Center expects the storm to leave more than a meter of precipitation in some parts of North Carolina. This means water weighing one ton per square meter.
