Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a videoconference with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, the Turkish presidency announced in a statement on Tuesday.

Regional issues, the Eastern Mediterranean and Libya in particular, potential steps to be taken in the fight against COVID-19 and in its aftermath as well as bilateral relations were discussed, according to the statement.
