Erdoğan in Belgium for NATO Summit

President Erdoğan went to Belgium to attend the NATO Summit.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is in the Belgian capital city of Brussels to attend the Summit of NATO Heads of State and Government.

President Erdoğan was welcomed at the Brussels Airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Head of Protocol at the Belgian Foreign Ministry Francoise Gustin, Permanent Representative of Turkiye to the NATO Ambassador Fatih Ceylan, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Tacan İldem, Permanent Delegate of Turkiye to the EU Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Turkish Ambassador to Brussels Zeki Levent Gümrükçü, Turkish Military Representative to NATO Lieutenant General Nihat Kökmen and mission officials.

Accompanying President Erdoğan in Brussels are First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, AK Party Istanbul MP Ahmet Berat Çonkar, and MHP Istanbul MPs Cemal Çetin and İsmail Faruk Aksu.

Erdoğan, who will carry out bilateral talks with the leaders of NATO countries, will also bring issues such as 'some NATO countries gave support to YPG and Turkiye's purchased Russia S-400 defense missiles' to the agenda.
