Erdoğan meets with NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is paying a one-day working visit to Brussels, met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to NATO's website, the two leaders discussed the serious security situation in Syria. 

Stoltenberg underlined that NATO will continue to support Turkey with a range of measures to help protect Turkey against threats from Syria.

Stoltenberg and Erdoğan also addressed the impact of the refugee and migrant movements on the Turkish-Greek border.

 "The issue of migration and refugee flows is a common challenge that requires common solutions," said the Secretary General. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu and Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar were also present at the meeting.
