Erdoğan: Russian delegation will visit Turkey tomorrow for Idlib talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara on Tuesday before leaving for Baku to attend the 8th meeting of the Turkey-Azerbaijan High Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

Holding a press conference before departing for Baku, Erdoğan, in answer to a question about the timetable of the quartet summit to be held with the participation of German Chancellor Merkel, French President Macron and Russian President Putin as well as that of the Russian delegation’s visit to Turkey, said: "Russian delegation will visit Turkey tomorrow for Idlib talks."

"We have taken all necessary measures against coronavirus"

In answer to a question on what kind of measures Turkey has taken against coronavirus now that there are reports of infected patients in Iran and Iraq, Erdoğan said: "We cannot ignore any concerns about health. In light of the works conducted by our Ministry of Health and Science Board, we have to make the most appropriate decision. The step we have taken is a result of that because if the coronavirus spreads to our country from there, it can – Allah forbid! - reach serious levels here. We have taken all the necessary measures so far."
