Erdoğan noted that they attached great importance to the establishment of the Council of General Prosecutors of the Turkic Council at a time when threats such as terrorism, irregular migration, and cross-border crimes are on the rise.
Pointing out that the number of countries expressing their interest in cooperating with the Turkic Council and serving as observers to the Council is growing day by day, Erdoğan said, “While our countries defend their citizens’ rights and interests on multinational platforms, the Turkic Council, the only organization that unites the Turkish world, is also fostering its solidarity. Particularly, the developments in recent years have demonstrated that it is not necessary but obligatory for us to develop new forms of collaboration in every sphere, from trade to transportation, from defense to health.
Recalling that the Turkic Council Media Forum has been held recently in Istanbul, with the participation of competent figures, Erdoğan said, “We had the opportunity to identify our strengths and weaknesses in the field of communication through discussions held as part of the Forum. We have made critical decisions that will boost the effectiveness of our relevant units in combating disinformation directed against our countries.”
