Erdoğan talks to Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the UN over the phone

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan talked to Permanent Representative of Turkey to the United Nations (UN) Feridun Sinirlioğlu over the phone.

Erdoğan had a phone conversation with Permanent Representative of Turkey to the UN Feridun Sinirlioğlu, following the election of Turkey’s candidate, Ambassador Volkan Bozkır, former Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as the president of the 75th UN General Assembly.

During the phone conversation, President Erdoğan wished that the elections, in which Bozkır received 178 ballots in support, would be auspicious, and said, “I hope that the efforts were not exerted in vain, I congratulate you. I hope the rest of the process will be auspicious, too.”

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Turkey’s candidate elected as the president of the 75th UN General Assembly Ambassador Volkan Bozkır, former Turkish Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, were also present during President Erdoğan’s phone conversation.
