Erdoğan to visit Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will pay an official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on Monday at the invitation of TRNC President Ersin Tatar.

“As part of the visit, President Erdoğan will address the TRNC Parliament’s Special Session and attend a ceremony marking July 20 Peace and Freedom Day,” the Turkish presidency said in a statement.

“During the talks to be held between President Erdoğan and President Tatar, the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and all aspects of the Turkey-TRNC relations will be addressed and views will be exchanged on our Cyprus cause.”

“Erdoğan and President Tatar will also attend a ceremony for the groundbreaking of various facilities and the implementation of newly-completed projects,” the statement added.
