Erdoğan, Trump discuss Russia-Ukraine tension

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with President Donald Trump of the U.S. on Wednesday.

According to the presidency statement, the tensions between Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea as well as the bilateral issues on the agenda were discussed during the phone call.

President Erdoğan shared information with President Trump regarding the phone calls he held on Wednesday with President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation and President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine, the statement read.

Reaffirming their determination on further advancing the cooperation between Turkiye and the U.S. in every area, the two presidents agreed to hold a one-on-one meeting in Buenos Aires on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit.
