Erdoğan visits the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has paid an official visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the invitation of President Ersin Tatar of the TRNC, Turkish presidency said in a statement on Sunday.

According to the presidency, Erdoğan will participate in the ceremonies to be held on the occasion of the 37th foundation anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

During the talks between Erdoğan and President Tatar, views will be exchanged on potential steps to be taken for the further strengthening of the close cooperation between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, our Cyprus cause and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

During Erdoğan’s visit, the official opening ceremony of Lefkoşa Emergency Hospital is planned to be held.
