Erdoğan vows to uphold Turkey’s gains in democracy and development

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at AK Party’s Extended Provincial Advisory Meeting in Hatay.

Speaking at AK Party's Extended Provincial Advisory Meeting in Hatay, Erdoğan said: “Turkey, one body with its state and people, never has and never will compromise its will to uphold the gains it has achieved in democracy and development as a result of its great efforts and sacrifices.”

Underscoring that the main purpose of the ongoing attacks carried out against, aspersions cast on and smear campaigns run against AK Party is to undermine Turkey’s march on the path of development and growth, Erdoğan said: “Turkey, one body with its state and people, never has and never will compromise its will to uphold the gains it has achieved in democracy and development as a result of its great efforts and sacrifices.”

Also drawing attention to Turkey’s vaccination drive, Erdoğan stressed that while there are administration fees for COVID-19 vaccines in several countries, including the U.S. and the U.K., there is no fee in Turkey for vaccine administration.
