Addressing citizens in the flood-stricken Bozkurt district of Kastamonu, Erdoğan said: “We will inshallah quickly remove the traces of the flood disaster, heal the wounds, share the grief of our losses and leave behind these days as soon as possible. We will continue to closely follow the works carried out to repair the damages and compensate for the losses.”
“All our responsible institutions are on the ground with all their means”
Wishing Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the flood disaster and extending his condolences to their relatives, Erdoğan said: “We as the state have stood by our citizens with all our means since the very beginning of the disaster. The Minister of Interior, the Minister of Environment and Urbanization, and the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure have rushed to the region and started to oversee the works in person. All our responsible institutions, AFAD in particular, are on the ground with all their means, from equipment to staff. Currently, 4,760 personnel, 19 helicopters, 1 UAV, 66 ambulances, 41 UMKEs, 630 duty vehicles, 437 construction vehicles, and many other types of equipment are carrying out activities on the ground.”
