Ex-Prime Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım tested positive for coronavirus

Ex-Prime Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has announced that he and his wife had tested positive for COVID19 coronavirus.

“After feeling kinda puny, I and my wife, Semiha, were admitted to Ankara City Hospital this morning. We tested positive for coronavirus,” he tweeted on Thursday.

Fahrettin Koca, Turkish Health Minister, said yesterday that the capital Ankara had twice as more cases than Istanbul the biggest city of the country.

As of 2 September 2020, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is over 273,300. Among these cases, 246,800 have recovered and 6,400 have died.
