Explosive found by children injures 3 people

Some 3 people were injured in the explosion of an explosive found by children in Akçakale district of Şanlıurfa, Turkiye.

Explosives found by siblings in Şanlıurfa's Akçakale district exploded after they brought it home and played with. Some 3 people were injured.

The event took place in the evening in Akçakale's Syrian border in the Büyüktokaç neighborhood.

According to the information, the siblings Elif, 15, and Ali Badem, 12, who played in the border area found an unknown type of explosives. The unknown type explosive detonated while the siblings were playing with. The wounded people were rushed to the hospital by the health teams upon notification.

While the wounded were being treated, the police who came to the house and took precautions, made a review.

Research is being conducted on the explosives, which expected to have been thrown from the Syrian side and did not explode.
