Families continue sit-in protest for their abducted children on the 11th day

Families who say their children have been abducted to the mountainous areas controlled by the PKK continue their sit-in protest outside HDP office in Diyarbakır on the 11th day.

Families whose children were abducted through the HDP to the rural areas controlled by the PKK, resumed their sit-ins protest early morning outside HDP office in Diyarbakır, a southeastern province of Turkey.

Şevket and Fatma Bingöl from Istanbul joined the action on Friday saying their 14-year-old son, Tuncay, was tricked and kidnapped to the rural areas and recruited by the PKK.

The 26 families, almost all come from the poorer parts of Kurdish society, say they have staged the sit-in protest because their children had been kidnapped and recruited by the PKK and will continue their action until their children send back.

Mother Hacire Akar staged a sit-in protest last August at the same location saying her 21-year-old son abducted by the HDP while her action resulted passively and she received her son back.

The sit-in protest, believed to be triggered by Hacire Akar, is now growing with the participation of 26 other families at the same place, whose children also kidnapped.
