Families' sit-in protest continues on the 9th day

The sit-in protest of families outside of the HDP local office on the grounds that their children were kidnapped and recruited by the PKK, continues on its 9th day in Diyarbakır, a southeastern province of Turkey.

The sit-in protest started on September 3 by families, the majority are mothers, whose children were kidnapped on various dates to the rural areas controlling by the PKK, continues with the participation of more than 20 families on the 9th day.

The families, who continue their actions decisively outside HDP Diyarbakır office, express their wish to be reunited with their children as soon as possible.

The number of families increased more than 20 in the sit-in, which started on September 3 with the participation of only 3 families, while many sects pledge their support to the action of families throughout Turkey.

Mother Hacire Akar staged a sit-in protest at the same place last August on the ground that her 21-year-old- son kidnapped by HDP, while her action resulted positively and her son was sent back to her.
