Fascist pressure on workers from CHP's Ankara mayor

CHP Ankara Metropolitan Municipality President Mansur Yavaş banned beard among municipality workers and brought dress code while workers oblige to have a tie.

CHP Ankara Metropolitan Municipality President Mansur Yavaş began to impose dress code on workers within the municipality.

With the circular he published, Yavaş forbade growing beards and imposed an obligation to wear a tie for workers.

The Fire Department of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality issued a circular on the issues that the workers should pay attention too.

Referring to the law "disguise and clothing regulation for personnel in public institutions and organizations," published on 25 October 1982 in the Official Gazette, the municipality threatened workers that required procedures will be done for workers if not obey the rules.

This fascist decision of CHP's Yavaş was met with anger by many citizens.
