Fire resignation in Greece

Greek Minister of Public Security Nikos Toskas, announced his resignation due to fire in Mati.

News of the resignation began to emerge after the fires in which 91 people lost their lives in the Mati district near the Greek capital, Athens.   

Greek Minister of Public Order and Assistant Minister in Charge of Civil Protection Nikos Toskas announced that he resigned because of the fire.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras also announced that it has accepted the resignation of Toskas.

91 people died in fires that started in the Penteli and Rafina regions in the northern part of Athens, later spreading to a wide area with the winds changing quickly.

Un the fire where 25 people are still missing, close to 200 people were injured, more than a thousand houses were damaged, and hundreds of cars were burned.
