Four F-16 fighter jets of the UAE to arrive in Souda Air Base, Greece

Four F-16 fighter jets of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will deployed at the Souda Air Base in Crete, following Thursday’s call between the head of the Greek Armed Forces and his Emirati counterpart.

These aircraft and their crews will carry out joint training with the Greek Armed Forces over the Eastern Mediterranean amid as military tensions are continuing to simmer between Greece and Turkey over offshore energy rights.

Konstantinos Floros, the head Greece’s National Defense General Staff, discussed developments in the region with UAE’s Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines, the national flag carrier airline of Turkey, suspended all flights between UAE and Turkey over their decision to make peace with zionist regime.
