Turkish Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu slammed French Foreign Minister Le Drian that characterized President Erdoğan's statements over the murder of Jamal Khashoggi as "political games".

Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and head of Presidential Communication Dr. Fahrettin Altun slammed French Foreign Minister Le Drian accused President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as "playing political games" in the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

"Those countries may soon deny the murder"

On October 24, all information about the murder of Khashoggi was transmitted to French intelligence at their request, Minister Çavuşoğlu said.

"Le Drian's comments accusing our President as 'playing political games,' were impudent. It does not fit the seriousness of Minister of Foreign Affairs," Çavuşoğlu said.

Turkish Minister underlined that no one should be surprised if those [countries] soon do not accept the murder of the Khashoggi that even Saudi Arabia has accepted. "It's all for the money," he added.

"Those countries may soon deny the murder. But, as Turkiye, we will do whatever it takes to shed light on all aspects of the Khashoggi murder."
