From Erdoğan to UNSC: Down with your resolution!

"Do the developments in East Ghouta befit humanity? They have adopted a resolution in the UN Security Council. Down with your resolution!" said President Erdoğan.

President Erdoğan reacted UNSC related to the massacre of civilians in the Eastern Ghouta, said; "Down with your resolution! What does a resolution that is not implemented mean for humanity? You are fooling humanity."

Speaking at AK Party’s parliamentary group meeting, President Erdoğan reacted to the resolution adopted by the UNSC. "Do the developments in East Ghouta befit humanity?" he asked and said: "They have adopted a resolution in the UN Security Council. Down with your resolution!"

President Erdoğan underscored that everyone knows that Turkiye wants to turn the area into a secure and a peaceful place which has humane conditions from infrastructure to residences in which the Syrians, who are the true owners of the area, can live. Pointing out that because the terrorist organizations and their backers do not care about the prosperity and the future of the Syrian people, they feel uncomfortable with these efforts of Turkiye, President Erdoğan continued as follows: "Do the developments in East Ghouta befit humanity? They have adopted a resolution in the UN Security Council. Down with your resolution! What does a resolution that is not implemented mean for humanity? You are fooling humanity. We do not say, 'The world is bigger than five,' in vain. That is the point."
