"This map is no longer available due to a violation of our Terms of Service and/or policies," reads the message that pops up in place of a map of Kurdistan.
Turkish government officials had conveyed their objections to Google for the "Greater Kurdistan map" that includes Turkiye's east and southeastern part, where the majority of the population are Kurdish people.
Two days after Turkiye's objections, the map was removed, according to Euronews.
The map was viewed approximately 2 million times until the day it was removed.
When the map examined, it was seen that 27 provinces of Turkiye were located in Kurdistan starting from the east of Osmaniye province.
It is estimated that between 25 and 35 million Kurds live in Turkiye, Iraq, and Syria.
